I got a half dozen stupid popups, so I gave up too and then decided to install adshield which someone on this forum recommended (Thank You!) and then went to several sites including this one that inflicted popups on me. It's free, it is easy to use, and it works; it doesn't get much better.

This site just brought up a bunch of pop-ups. I had to shut this site off just to get out of them. Don't go there.
