I remembered that I had access to another news server through an ISP used for a modem connection. This does carry the alt.binaries groups. I was, however, still unable to find your files despite the oldest posting appearing on the server was from Jan. 27 and you must have posted your clip later than that??? I didn't see any zip-files among the headers, just films divided into 25 KB segments supposed to be posted together.
BTW do you need a special kind of newsreader viewer to handle binary files or can you just copy and paste together the segments with a text editor?

By WetSwede - parmandil@hotmail.com Sat 07/02/04 12:51:50 GMT Thanks for your trouble, Dr Nick, but unfortunately to no help, I'm afraid. As I said in my original posting my ISP does not provide me with *any* of the alt.binaries groups so reposting in a non-adult group didn't give me access to it...
I've set up a free account at www.usenetbinaries.com, but the file isn't listed in the alt.binaries.movies group there. Perhaps password protected files automatically are excluded? Would seem logical, I doubt they have implemented a password system for individual files. |
