Hey RoscoeBC, as I mentioned, I'm not really sure. Before posting, I did review The Wayback Machine and didn't see any captures in 07. I'm also pretty certain that we didn't launch in January. It was more like August?? Maybe? Unfortunately, the admin side of our store doesn't show the date of any set that was uploaded which would clear up when we began because the store had to exist at the same time. When uploading an image to the store, it's required to type in the year of copyright in a field on the admin side. We typically typed in the year, that a photo set was released for sale and set SOG001 shows the year 2008 that was typed into that field by us. (The actual photos for that set were taken in 06) In those days, my wife Tess did all the uploads to the stores. Theres also the possibility that we were using a different store front in those days. I just don't remember and I didn't do that part of the production back then. If we started in 07, then I simply don't remember and don't have proof. I know we didn't start in January of 08, and according to Wayback none of the pages open up at all in Jan. The first page that opens is more consistent with the time of year, I remember the site might have gone live and the number of updated sets are few…then again as you say, The Wayback Machine doesn't always record earlier events. So basically we are either 9 yrs old, this year, or we are 10 yrs old…In any case I'm old enough to forget important things.

Anywho, we hope you'll like the new and improved site.

Hey EdR, The internet archive (the wayback machine) first captured your URL in January of 2008, https://web.archive.org/web/20080120123834/http://www.asplashofglamour.com , although it could have existed for a while before then. As a matter of fact, on your front page, your copyright notice is listed as 2007. The wayback machine doesn't seem to have archived any graphics (which it often doesn't) until May 28th 20008. That doesn't mean they were not there, they just didn't save them. The new store at http://www.asplashofglamour.com is working fine, I bought three sets yesterday. I went to my usual URL, http://www.asplashofglamour.com/gallery.php , and got a 404 error and almost had a stroke, until I found you at http://www.asplashofglamour.com. You might want to put a few auto redirects on some of your old pages to take people to the new home page :). Good luck with the new format.

I have to say that time flies when you're having fun, and I'll also say that producing "A Splash Of Glamour" for all these years has truly been an awful lot of fun. As I was looking back and reminiscing over our past work and how far we have progressed over the years, it had dawned on me that "A Splash Of Glamour" has been around for a long time. But I wasn't sure how long it's been since we started our site. I had been thinking that our site began in 2007. Which would make this year our 10 yr anniversary, but I have to admit that I wasn't entirely sure.

Our journey began sometime back in 2005. We were invited to be contributing photographers for Styx Wet World and began producing a small handful of photo sets for Styx. Unfortunately, it wouldn't last very long. Shortly after we joined the Styx team, Kev became very ill and the decision was made to let Styx wind down. With Styx no longer requiring a need for our photos, my wife and I came to the decision to continue producing more sets, not really sure what we would do with them or where they would go. We did this for awhile, until we decided to introduce our own unique wetlook site, which we call "A Splash Of Glamour"

So in reality, we really had been producing images since 2005-2006, which technically makes our "production" 11-12 yrs old. But the site itself came later. And thats where I was having trouble remembering when it began. I simply couldn't remember how much time transpired between the end of our participation with Styx to the beginning of "A Splash Of Glamour".

For some reason, 2007 was stuck in my head. And if this was so, I began thinking about making a huge 10th year anniversary announcement and make some long overdue changes to the site, which hasn't been updated since 2011. But when I checked our records as to when our site actually began, it turned out that our site had started in 2008

…Soooo, I'm happy to announce our "9 yr anniversary" this year. Not quite the milestone as 10 yrs happens to be, but hey! We can always celebrate again next year. :D

While it would have been nice to introduce an updated site for our 10th year anniversary, it was well overdue for a change anyway and we didn't want to wait. If you go to asplashofglamour.com, (and book mark our new site) you will see that everything is new and hopefully it will be more user friendly for you too. The new updated site will allow further growth that we have been putting off for far too long. We have new stuff coming soon that I think you'll like.

Theres a new store that will help make your shopping a little easier, however if you liked our old photo store, it will still be available. You can find it at; http://vidown.com/cgi/store2.pl?site=sogphotoset.com however I won't be making updates to the sets

Our Clips4Sale video store is still current and will still be available for a time, but our future intentions will be to have a video store moved to our site.

As time continues, there will be further improvements made which weren't possible with the old site. In the mean time, tell us what you think
