Well.....the only other scene that is similar would be the lake scene from the 1978 tv miniseries "The Dark Secret of Harvest Home".....but this was not black and white and was filmed in the late 70's. There is a poor quality version on Youtube,

Give us more details...such as the name of the actress etc.

Wow,,, but no. neither of those are the one. The movie I recall was not an episode as I watched for quite a bit. The dress was white and ruffly and prom or wedding. She kept coming back to him, or him to her til she took him out too far but thanks you for trying:) It was not even a "B" movie and I'd have seen it in the early 70s

I do not recall seeing any scene like the one Gary describes......but I think that "Twilight Zone" episode you are thinking of is probably "The Outer Limits" 1964 episode called "The Forms of Things Unknown"....which has Vera Miles and Barbara Rush luring a guy into the lake....

This episode actually has 2 wet scenes....the lake scene and a later scene with Vera and Barbara in dresses in the rain.

Can't think of a scene like the one Gary describes ....though the 1971 movie "Lets Scare Jessica to Death" has a nice lake scene in period dress....

Are you sure that wasn't an episode of The Twilight Zone?

I recall an oldy from when I was 10 years old, the first wetlook I EVER SAW! (That was 43 years back) It was an old B&W movie the costuming suggested the 50, from the dress to the boat to the swimwear. Didnt catch the beginning but the jist was, this guy went to the lake at night and a girl was standing in the water in a long white prom dress, he stepped into the water and when he got to her she vanished. Next time she stood deeper in the water, when he got to her she vanished, Next time she was waist deep, when he got to her she vanished, each moment was at night, she was luring him deeper into the water. Next time she was floating, yes so beautiful all that white dress floating, a good billowing scene, he went after her, when he got there, she vanished and he realized he could not see the shore line, She lured him to his death. Feels like her ghost lured him out there as revenge, maybe a boating accident killed her. Any thoughts?

The oldest and earliest made wetlook film I am aware of is Thomas Edison's 1905 film "Boarding School for Girls" and yes, it is still preserved and available.

Edison invented the movie camera in 1893 and I guess it took him 12 more years to discover that his invention could be used for wetlook,....mind you his invention was used much earlier to create victorian porn.

Where would we be today without the influence of Edison, who invented the electric light bulb in 1878, and then folks suddenly realized "oh boy.....now we can see naked women at night"......ha ha
