But basically I am a wet "look" fan....which means you have to be able to see the wet "look" of the clothing, and the only way to see that is via having sufficient water, a proper dunking and for the subject to exit the bath or pool....and based on that, this scene is a nothing-burger because of bad staging and camera work. I am sure that the wet hair fans would go further and say that any scene where the girl;'s hair does not get wet would be a cop-out as well.

I give it 10 out of 10 for the celebrity factor, but a 2 out of 10 for staging, execution and camerawork.

It is very easy to compare this scene with the classic 1996 Brett Butler scene on the David Letterman show....i.e.clothing, staging, execution, camerawork,,,,,and they nailed it perfectly on all levels....10 out of 10

Compare that to this Mariah Carey scene ...lack of water, poor camerawork, no exit shots, no wet hair or full dunking, and bad choice of a dress that even it it got wet would look no different to dry....clothing fabrics must either change color, cling or go see thru.....and if they are bulletproof and impervious to water, i.e. like teflon, then that is not a good choice for a wetlook fan.

Note to Jimmy Kimmel.........take a lesson from Jimmy Fallon.....he knows how to do it.....
