Even taking a clip and reuploading it to youtube is breaking copyright law as it includes reproducing it which you are doing by reuploading and sharing it for public viewing. There is also money being made from it either via youtube themselves or by the fact people can get money via clicks to their page and views of videos

I think that Anonymous may be referring to the private copy regulations in the German-speaking countries: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Privatkopie (link is in German, I could not find an English version that quickly).

Sharing copyrighted material privately without commercial gains (making money from it), is permitted in many countries of the world and does not count as copyright infringement. Else you wouldn't be allowed to borrow a CD from a friend or record a movie on TV.

I just posted as a reminder for myself (and the forum) I've found old wetlook pictures. Now someone ask for it "for a friend" via email. No nice speech, no offer for this...and intentionally breaking the laws about copyright, becuase he asks for pictures of Eric Elsas...what do those people think? I know, I post clips on youtube from movies and tv-shows, but all those videos were shown on the web for free and I always link the artist, the copyright-holder or or commercial site to get the whole movie/show and so on...

I just posted that on the forum because it sucks that some "wetlooker" think our community is a big self service store...
