By Wetfan2002 - Fri 26/02/16 13:25:10 GMT I was there last month. All of the rumors are very true, I went there with a couple of friends ate lunch then did the pool challenge. Sneakers and all (they knew we were going to do the challenge). The 50% is for the food items on the bill, drinks are not discounted. The staff is very friendly. During our meal I told the waitress that we wanted to do the challenge, the manager came over afterwards, made sure we were wearing our shoes, escorted us over to the pool's deep end. She took a video with my friends cell phone counted to three and we jumped. They said "stay as long as you like", brought us drink refills (soda in plastic cups) and eventually brought the bill and sat it on a dry chair for us to get to when we were done. We got out and dried off three hours later!
It was a colder afternoon and we were the only one that did the jump. I suspect that in the Summer months, more people do this. The pool is heated to 78-80 degrees. I would love to go again but it is an hour and a half drive for me as well. |

By closetwetlookloverinnyc - Fri 26/02/16 04:48:50 GMT Hi All,
Has anyone been to the Tart Restaurant at the Farmer's Daughter Hotel in Los Angeles?
This is the place that supposedly gives you a free (or half off) brunch if you jump into the pool with all of your clothes on.
Do people do it often? Are you likely to see that if you eat there?
I have a business trip to LA next week... but LA is huge and so this restaurant is about an hour away from where I would need to be. I'm debating on whether it's worth my 2-3 hours round-trip for me to travel to the Tart Restaurant or not. Any thoughts?
