Very well-said and I think you are making good points! Also, this is not a "Knock Dima" session. Quite the contrary. I agree he has some of the best models around. The critiques are meant as encouragement to be even better with little effort needed. I agree about the videos. For wetlook fans, it is important to see those jeans getting in and out, and some of the Dima models have incredible skinny jeans that are just crying out for the spotlight! What a shame to not see them in their glory. I think some of the best wetlook is simply showing the emerging model just out of the water. To give an example, any of the Eurowam videos of Maya underscore my point. I bought one for five bucks that was not much more than her dunking and rising in a pair of skin-tight Levis. I am telling you this was some of the most wonderful and erotic wetlook I can recall seeing. Part of the success is based on Maya really "getting it' and understanding what the magic of wetlook is about. That is half the battle and it shows. (How many times have we seen clueless models just going through the motions and might as well be looking at their watches waiting for the end of the session?) Dima's models, many of them seem to understand the appeal but I will even accept a rather uninspired model if she/he is photographed right. Dima is so close to hitting a home run, with just a little work needed. Denim needs good light to shine, and that is one battle, especially indoors. Do more than one "filmed" jump in the pool and cut it into 100 photos which are redundant and mere frames apart from the next. I assure you, your customers will notice and appreciate well-selected shots vs hundreds of identical and uninteresting moments.

I'm not a big poster here, but I have to reply to this thread. First of all, I LOVE Dima's work. His models are HOT and he happens to cater to my preference, which is skinny Jeans. I've probably spent hundreds on his work and I will keep spending as long as he keeps shooting hot models in tight wet jeans. I tend to agree with Sunboyfun that quality is more important than quantity. Dima dominates the seemingly tough items, such as having a HUGE variety of models, convincing them to get wet in their own clothes, and getting them to allow him to video and photograph them while doing this. Lighting, on the other hand, is fairly easy to fix. If his lighting were a little better, his work would be near perfect, imho. Some of his shots are a bit dark. This could even be fixed in post processing. I'll throw some of his dark images into lightroom and lighten them up myself. And I love that he now shoots video too. The only other critique I have, and I hope he reads these, because this is such an easy one to fix, is some of his videos capture from the waist up while the model is entering the pool. The initial entrance into the pool (especially if the clothes are still dry) is very erotic and an important part of the video. Dima does a great job of capturing his models facial expressions as they step into the pool, and that is very important. But equally important is the transition of the clothes as they get wet. Often times the video resumes after the model has already entered the water, or the legs are cropped out as she is getting into the pool, thus capturing the entrance from the waste up. So for me, it is crucial that the entire model be in the frame as she is entering the water. Got to see those legs (especially if in tight jeans- sorry jeans haters) as they enter the water. Having said all this, I love Dima's work and might even be willing to donate a go-pro or similar underwater camera if he was interested in including underwater videos of his models. Thoughts Dima?

My feelings are mixed about the Wetlooker site. On one hand I think they have some of the absolute best models out there, in both genders. I love many of the outfits chosen, especially featuring tight jeans! My biggest critique would be this: To me it is often a case of opportunities missed. I have purchased many sets, only to be often miffed and disappointed with the photos/video. I have suggested before in posts and messages, that quality is more important than quantity. The sets often look as if just a minute's worth of video footage was shot in succession, and sliced into a hundred still photos, many of which vary only a fraction from the next in "action". A girl, for example, will start at the fireplace, walk to the pool, jump in, get out and walk to a wall and that is it. The scene is then made into a hundred photos, many of which are repeated and redundant. Do we really need 15 shots of the model approaching a ladder underwater? Far better would be to shoot a series of "emerging" shots as she gets out, at a few different angles, so the play of water is maximized on the clothing. Pick the best shots of the sets and offer those rather than ALL of the shots which are merely repeats. It is such a simple thing to do. The photos are not edited in any way, so often we get blurry or poorly lit photos in the sets, and at the $10.99 price point, it is not a great value. This is not meant as a knock. I have many times said to Dima that he has the best models out there. I say this as a way to improve what is offered, with little effort needed to do so. I am quite happy with the settings and as long as the girls and guys are keeping up the great styles and such, I have no issues with repeated locales. I think the main issue is maximizing the photo session for a better outcome.

Try this:

Set the camera pointed at the pool's ladder and simply have the model "dunk and rise". Time the shot to fire as she just emerges and begins the climb. If this is repeated several times, you are bound to have what I call "Fish in a barrel" shots - shots that are fool proof. Eliminate the 15 shots of the girl's walk to the ladder, where you only see a head above water or a blur under the surface.

The same concept could be used in the standing shots. Have a cup of water to re-wet the jeans, for example and take several standing shots in different poses. It would not take longer than the time already used previously.

Just some suggestions and no offense intended. There is great potential for Wetlooker.
