Well, of course you got a point here.But the opposite is also true, a nice model in crappy clothes is also bad for selling. Maxi and me had a site for two years just for the fun of it... It was a pure amateur site with the aim to get some reimbursement for the in part really expensive clothes we soaked or messed up. You may understand that in an amateur setting we don't want to spread face pics uncontrolled over the net. So we chose a middle way, we made the preview pics faceless, but sold the sets showing faces. Up to now, we have only our preview pics and videos seen copied to colltections on flickr, tumblr or youtube, nobody has put something online he spend his money on and where everybody has easy access to (not counting porn forums or warez sites, no idea what happens there). Of course we didn't make so much like for sure Leon, Eric and the other big producers do. But that was fine for us and never was the intention, and in the end it paid off much better than we have ever thought. So I think you are wrong with your assumption that nobody buys sets without seeing the model's face in previews.

By the way, another amateur site, wetnpretty.com sells sets without showing the face of the model at all (not even in the full sets). Stating from the constant updates they do, it seems to be not so bad in terms of selling.

So? Even if only free pic are faceless... very few people choose the pics they want to buy only based on the clothes. They choose which models they like. How to know if you like this model? You have to buy a membership not knowing? Nonsense for me. Imagine sites like Leon's, Wetlooker's or Erik Elsas's showing you only faceless previews. Sure you would buy there? And if so, are you sure you would really choose the models you like?
