That's why I was referring to the video rather than the images to be removed. It is up to the producer or copyright-holder to determine if it is ok to use the images elsewhere. It is fine if someone gives credit to the producer, as long as the producer allowed to republish his images under these conditions. But you have to be aware, not everybody allows this. For example: I  publish images on Flickr under the explicit license that allows to republish non-commercially and with mentioning the producer. In any case it's a good idea to ask the producer (e.g. via email) if it is ok to repost his publicly  available images on a blog, before you do so. Most producers will be happy to allow this, because it helps them to market their site,

It's a totally different issue with material that's not publicly available. No producer wants that to appear openly on the web obviously. And usually every producer clearly states that in his Terms of service. If you post that stuff, it's simply a violation of copyright law.

Of course, I am a strong advocate of copyright protection for the producers who work so hard to provide us their wonderful material....

It is obvious in the first instance that one needs explicit permission from the original producer to reproduce copyrighted material.

What about the case where someone reproduces copyrighted material - but clearly identifies the source of that material.

Is that a copyright infringement?   I see from time-to-time some folks are very enthusiastic about posting collections of their personal favourites -their motives likely not to intentionally "steal" material.

I wouldn't mind clarification of the topic.  Thanks.
