Yeah.....I don't really collect still photos and I only use them for reference purposes. I am only interested in still photos that show us something that has so far never been found on film and or shows things that were cut from a film. In this case none of those Jeanne Moreau stills show us anything new that is not already in the actual film scene, cos I have the full scene from the movie and those stills are basically redundant cos they show us nothing that you can't already see in the actual film.
What intrigues me more are still photos showing different things that were excluded or cut from a film and we cannot see in the film....e.g. this recent set of photos of Brooklyn Decker in the wet dress from the movie "Just Go With it"....none of these scenes were included in the final cut of film and were deleted ....
So then it becomes interesting to see if there is a dvd version that might include some extras of this deleted scene.
One of the most iconic set of photos in history are the photos of Marilyn Monroe's skirt blowing up while she stands over the NY Subway grating in the movie "The Seven Year Itch"......and people all know those photos...
..but if I challenged somebody to a bet to show me film footage of that scene to win a million dollar bet....they would lose the bet cos that scene showing her underwear does NOT exist in the film...because the censors would not allow it....so it was carefully edited to show her from the waist up only and a wideshot, but you never see her underwear on film as you do in all those iconic photos.
My preference is to collect film and video footage, not still photos, and photos that merely show the same scenes or angles that we see in the film are redundant to me. The more interesting stills are those that show things that were excluded from the film, because when I see a photo of a scene I cannot find in the film then I am trying to see if there are some DVD extras that might show that deleted wet scene. E.G. there is a a deleted wetlook scene on the DVD extras for Sharon's Stone's movie "Basic Instinct 2" and if you get the anniversary edition of Shirley MacClaine's movie "Sweet Charity" they include a DVD extra showing the alternate ending where Shirley goes in the pond again for a second time at the end of the film. Most folks know her pond scene from that film but have never scene the alternate ending showing a totally different dunking at the end of the film.

By Drdamp - Fri 08/05/15 00:52:07 GMT I don't know if you were aware there was a 1968 magazine article about the film and a different picture to the one you shared on Twitter.
Scroll down to fourth row of photos and you will see her in a colour photo.
