That's some sad news to read, however I can fully understand your reasoning!

From your beginning as producers you were one of the beacons of tasteful high quality WAM and in a way you as a couple living and sharing your passion in WAM were unique. And I am still a little proud, since you told me once that I had added a little inspiration for you with my project.

Generally I feel the same like you somehow. Life goes on, other aspects of it need more focus and attention and while it is fun to produce photosets and videos, it's hard work and it's time-consuming to produce in a decent quality.

The fact that we - up till now - didn't manage to have a shooting together also reflects the time-constraints I have to cope with. 5 years ago I would have been able to jump in the car and go to your place the minute we talked about a shooting. Today this is not that easy anymore. But honestly, I still have that in mind, even if you close your project. Maybe there's cnace for a guest appearance in the future on wetandmessyphotography.com?!? we'll see ... ;-)

For the time being I wish you all the best, enjoy all aspects of life as they come and go :)

Hi guys,

yes, you've seen right, we decided to close our little project maxiwam.com. It was huge fun, but finally we felt it is too time consuming in our actual life doing WAM photos and videos in the quality we like them to be. Of course we will continue getting wet and messy, but will scale down with photos and video. Probably we will post stuff from time to time for free as it was before we started maxiwam.com. Many many thanks for the hundreds of kind comments and of course also for buying our sets and helping to keep the site online!

For the final post we put some sets together spanning the entire maxiwam time. We browsed the archives of the bigger holidays we did 2013 till 2015 and put six different sets online.
