That sounds like a great idea, especially as there are loads of scenes I like out of your tapes. I'd go for 2 or 3 because DivX is very easy to download and use (especially as all your media players can use the codec) and it's free, and MPEG-2 is also easy to use because the latest version of WMP is free from the Microsoft website. Bear in mind that every time a clip is offered in one of these formats, it might be good quality but someone always complains because they haven't bothered to get more recent software.

By Jim - jim121272@aol.com Sun 05/10/03 12:21:13 GMT Website: www.wetlookunlimited.com I've had several customers ask if they could mix and match scenes from various videos, and combine them into one custom video.
Due to constraints on time and computing power, it's not feasible to do this with VHS or DVD. However, if there is a demand for it, I'm willing to go through the work to make custom combinations of my 100+ scenes available on a standard CD.
The choices of format would be: 1. MPEG-1 (common format, but low video quality) 2. MPEG-2 (DVD-compatible format, high quality & lower file size, can be played on newer versions of Windows Media) 3. DivX (high quality & very low file size, but requires separate download of a DivX player)
Let me know your thoughts on this, and based on the feedback, I'll decide if this is worth doing.
