OK... I think...

I understand the issue about north american "victorian" double-standards. I think the situation is changing, if only very slowly.

All that aside, you still leave open one question: What would you consider good sexual imagery for women that has a wetlook context? Would it be of a man with his "package" visible through, say, soaked white silk pajama bottoms? (struggling to come up with some sort of example)

By the way, Annette, I should say that I very much appreciate your contributions here... although I've only seen your posts on rare occasions, your posts are always very useful for those of us stuggling to understand the female perspective.

Good question Anthony. Actually most of the porn aimed at men is a huge turn on for me, but I am saying that the emphasis is 99 percent on showcasing the female. (I am bisexual, but for hetero women, I understand why alot of them don't like porn) I guess a good example is just a subtle difference ... Playgirl, for example, is great. The shoots are all about the man in his glory, and, if there are shots with women, the focus is always on the naked man, with the women either in a bathing suit or topless. Its just where the focus is, what that audience wants. Its a rarity. Im not saying either is bad, I am just saying that it is widely assumed that women don't like sexual imagery, and that is just not true. We aren't *supposed* to, in the USA anyway. Be sexy, just don't be sexual, because we have a name for that...Thats the message we get.

I have discussed this at length with many other women in the 25-40 age group and you would be amazed how many feel the same. One reason why Chippendales is successful, but our outlets are very very limited compared to yours.

Which leads me to ask the question of what sort of imagery would appeal to you as "good", "raw", and sexual... and how it differs from the material which caters to men.

Obviously, the media are used to selling to women as well as to men... just a matter of what is being sold to whom. Perhaps given the awareness of a market opportunity and the nature of the desired product, someone may attempt to provide the product and take advantage of the opportunity.

I really want to dispel this myth, WB. We are also very visual creatures. Our culture doesn't allow nor really care about what images women want to see. Unfortunately we've all been fed that line that we begin to believe it. The reality is that media, whatever form, is male dominated. I don't want to get into a boring script about this, but whenever I see the opportunity to educate I will ;-)...trust me on this, we aren't as much the "gotta have love, emotions, stories" group we are portrayed as. Plenty of us just want raw, good sexual imagery as much as the guys do, but it's just not there.

Guys are turned on a lot by pictures and videos of what they find arousing, far more than girls are. That is why there are so many porn mags, porn sites, etc... which irritates me becuase I hate porn. Anyway, girls are much more interested in actually being part of the action and to a certain extent stories rather than pictures. That means that girls who may get wet in thier clothes at home a lot wouldn't be as desperate as guys to go and find pictures of people of the opposite (or same) sex getting wet.

When I have been reading about other peoples experiences, I always want to try them out for myself.

I’ve done the usual, like ‘accidentally’ spilling a cup of water over myself at work or turning the tap on too hard so that the water pressure causes it to splash up and soak my clothes. I’ve played out many different scenarios but I like most to be in an environment where other people are around to witness my ‘accidents’ or when I can be wet but nobody else knows.

I laid out my work clothes last night – choose carefully because I had half an idea of what I was going to do this morning. White bra and knickers, black knee length pencil skirt, sheer nylons, and pink blouse. I always have a shower and wash my hair when I get up for work, want to look my best during the day, and when the mood strikes I’ll jump in the shower before undressing when I get back home. Today I decided to indulge myself in reverse, I got dressed then stepped into the shower, shampooed my hair and let the lather drip down the full length of my body, enjoyed feeling the water as it seeped through my clothes, I love watching the material change colour and feeling the different textures against my skin. I only wish the experience would last longer, once I’m fully saturated I want to start the process over again.

I reluctantly got out of the shower and dried my hair, put on my shoes and coat over the wet clothes and got into the car and drove to work. The windows started to steam up because of the condensation but I didn’t care, was enjoying the sensation of the wet fabric on my skin too much. My clothes were still damp by the time I got to work, but even although I work in a busy office surrounded by about 30 people, nobody noticed, was disappointed when I got too dry so went to the loo, took off my knickers and tights, soaked them again put them back on. Believe me, when you’re a government employee having a boring day at work this soon puts a different slant on things.

Following an extreme reaction from an x, I’ve been reluctant to share this side of me with other men; not every one is as understanding as those who post on this forum are. Which brings me to a question. Most of the posts on the forum are from men...where are all the like minded women?
