I think that's a great idea,Anthony! Imagine a group doing the jitterbug straight in2 the water Or maybe a country affair where everybody goes 2-steppin' right in2 the pool with boots and cowboy hats and all |
In reply to Message (607) Foam/pool parties/dances
By AnthonyX - anthonyx@jowc.net Mon 21/10/02 05:41:45 GMT This is somewhat inspired by my remarks in reply to another thread, but thought this deserved a thread unto itself: It seems to me that foam parties are primarily marketed to the "under 25" age group, and that both foam parties and the german indoor pool parties appear to be almost exclusively attended by "under 25s", and I'm speculating that the music at these sorts of events is also aimed at the under 25 demographic. (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) My question is: what do you folks think of the idea of a "swing" foam dance... swing music and dress in a foam-filled room? Perhaps also a "swing" pool party? Again, similar music and dress. What about an old-fashioned ballroom dance (music and dress) in a foam/pool setting? Assuming it has any appeal, do you think it would even be feasible... would the floors be too slippery for that sort of dancing? I know I'd enjoy that sort of music far more than the high energy trance-type stuff the young'uns seem to go for. Any thoughts/opinions?
