Actually, we frequent North Georgia and the North Carolina mountains. We go tubing 3-4 times a year and from our experience, we always wear jeans and old shoes, irregardless of the water temperature. We have found, sticks, logs and sharp rocks underwater, the jeans and shoes will protect your feet and legs from these unseen hazards. There are many streams and rivers in the area that offer commercial tubing trips. Some even suggest wearing jeans and tennis shoes for protection.

In reply to Message (59292) tubing in a skirt
By corsair - Sun 06/10/13 04:45:42 GMT I was in a local tourist town today where they do tubing through the middle of town. Normally they are done by this time of year, but with the warmer weather, still tubing. It was late in the day and I was surprised to see a group coming down the river, and more surprised that they were in jeans and sneakers instead of the usual grungy shorts and shirts. And then one girl comes by in a nice top and a skirt! I think this group wasn't planning on tubing, but decided to do it and went in what they were wearing. I managed one good photo, I just need to figure out how to post it. |
