Hey....it's not a reality show...it's drama....thats how I see things. I would agree with you that wetlook scenes happening in shows like the old Bill Shatner show "Rescue 911" were not something I would enjuoy, cos they are reality based scenes....but Baywatch and this new show SAF3 are pure drama and entertainment....so I can enjoy that, just as I can enjoy a horror film with Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees and Jigsaw......cos I know it's not reality, just campy entertainment....and I can sit thru mindless campy entertainment cos it's fun....while I will not sit thru movies or tv shows that have a clear political agenda behind them, so any show that is fun and is not overtly political is my kind of entertainment.
My website partner Tracie's husband worked as a film crew member on some of the Baywatch shows in the 1990's....so Tracie used to go to the wrap parties at times...here she is with The Hoff and Logan from Baywatch

That show Baywatch was a fun show that delivered 100% eye candy in every show.....and while it was not "Masterpiece Theatre" .... it delivered a higher percentage of wetlook scenes in that series than most other shows...i.e. other eye candy shows like Charlies Angels or Dallas or Dynasty had less than 5% of the episodes with wetlook in them, whereas Baywatch delivered nice wetlook scenes in more than 10% of their episodes.
Baywatch is one of those guilty pleasure shows.....i.e. totally mindless entertainment.....but then I always liked watching The Love Boat and Fantasy Island too......cos those were eye candy shows I could just sit back and watch and not be preached to by a somebody with a political agenda.
I have not seen SAF3 yet....it only just started airing and it only airs at 2AM in the morning in my area.....so that does not bode well for ratings, cos they already shot 13 episodes, but how are they going to get ratings when it only airs at 2AM....bizarre.
Bottomline for me....I separate reality based shows from pure fiction and drama shows.......so I can watch the finale to Casino Royale with Eva Green and consider that to be one of the most awesome scenes ever made....and it does not disturb me....cos I know it is "just a movie".
Frankly I get more upset when I see gameshows like Fear Factor abusing animals....cos many shows abuse insects and other animals purely for human entertainment...and that does disturb me....because those animals are being killed fror real.

By JT - jbt56@sonic.net Sat 28/09/13 15:22:43 GMT Unfortunately, for my tastes anyway, this will be another typical TV show where the wet women will only be the victims of accidents, etc. and therefore miserable or in some sort of agony. Major turn-off for me. Apparently, it's just not possible for TV writers to place women in wet situations for fun, or any sort of enjoyment. |

By Frank (the noname) - Sat 28/09/13 12:32:21 GMT ... at least one of us should do the dirty job. Just came across a new show called "SAF3" (no, I did not mistype - pronounce it like "safe"). It's from Gregory J. Bonann, who already plagued the world with "Baywatch". The first ep "SAF3" at least contains 2 good wetlook scenes, jeans in the very beginning. Nevertheless - I wasn't able to go through the entire first episode. The show is a real stinker. Like most flicks containing great wetlook on big or little screen. Why do we wetlook-fans always have to suffer this much... |
