As part of a history project I can across the work of Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen, a photographer who spent a great deal of time in the Newcastle upon Tyne area some 40 odd years ago. In among various shots of hers I came across this beach scene of two women in their skirts and jackets. They probably wore girdles and stockings too at that time.
