People who teach people to be entrepreneurs say that you shouldn't listen to people who tell you you won't be successful. So ignore the first part, because I've been wondering what would happen if you tried the following scheme:

Target women. DON'T target men -- in fact, just mentioning it here may already have enlisted too many guys. (Then again, maybe we're all too cynical.) You'll want to do some aggressive paid marketing, plus use every social site that gives you the opportunity to mention yours without breaking their rules. Make sure your advertising is designed to appeal to women, and that it appears in places that are even remotely related -- maybe party-related, chick-drinks, fashion, swimming, outdoors -- as long as the sites likewise are rather more attractive to women.
