I use sony S-70 & F-707 cameras. The memory sticks I use are 128 meg (The new sticks can go to 256 meg).

One thing is that sony memory sticks are more expensive than other types of memory. I have found some fair (not great) deals on ebay.

Another thing to consider is the delay time between pictures. The S-70 takes about 5 to 6 sec. & the F-707 is 2 to 3 secs. My first digital (Toshiba) took almost 10 secs.

On of the problems with Sonys is that you are limited to the memory stick for recording the images. These are available in 32MB maximum size I believe.

As most digicams allow some video footage to be shot, the problem with such a small memory can become a major obstacle if you decide you shoot any video using it.

Have a look at the Nikon Coolpix 3100 and Canon Powershot A70 is supposed to be even better- particularly in low light.

Both these use CF cards which can be bought in anything up to 3GB capacity, although most people use 128 and 256MB capacities. This will allow you to shoot lots of still pictures and some movie footage too.

We are getting a new camera today.We have been thinking of buying a Sony DSC-p72 or a DSC-p92.We have heard all about what it can do from the salesman of course but were wondering what you guys thought or if anybody had one.

All the pics posted on the Forum so far have been taken with an older Nikon cool pix 100.I guess its done its job but we are limited to 21 pics in "fine mode",then we have to return home to download.Can be very frustrating.Also in the past a lot of my pics have been darker than what I would like.We plan on a lot of indoor pool stuff this winter.So if you have any suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks
