I am not familiar with the Nikon 100.I. Does it not have a removeable memory card? If it does then as Graham suggests all you need it to buy a larger "compact flash" card (I think that is what Nikons use). If it has only a built in (non removeable) memory, then it probably is time for a new camera!!
I have a Canon myself and am very happy with it. You don't have to spend huge sums of money to get a good digital camera these days (under 500 Canadian will get you a very good camera). There are lots of good review sites such as "megapixel.net", "steves-digicams.com" and "dcresource.com" to name a few. My best suggestion would be to take a little time to read the literature and don't be "convinced" by some salesman!
One possible drawback with sony is it uses memory stick, which I think is less common and more expensive than other removeable storage media. Compact Flash (Canon, Nikon) and xD (Fuji, Olympus) I think are the leading media, and tend to be less expensive and more available.
Anyhow, happy hunting and good luck!! |

By Watergirl - Sat 06/09/03 17:39:39 GMT We are getting a new camera today. We have been thinking of buying a Sony DSC-p72 or a DSC-p92.We have heard all about what it can do from the salesman of course but were wondering what you guys thought or if anybody had one. All the pics posted on the Forum so far have been taken with an older Nikon cool pix 100.I guess its done its job but we are limited to 21 pics in "fine mode",then we have to return home to download. Can be very frustrating. Also in the past a lot of my pics have been darker than what I would like.We plan on a lot of indoor pool stuff this winter. So if you have any suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks Watergirl
