I swim fully clothed. Always casual clothes, but clothes nonetheless. I refuse to expose my big fat gut to the world, and I'm sure nobody wants to see it. I refuse to swim anywhere that requires men to be topless. That leaves out all public pools in Bakersfield. Last July I went in the wave pool at California's Great America in Santa Clara CA wearing cargo shorts (actually swim trunks, but definately street legal; I had been wearing them as regular clothes on the long train ride from Bakersfield to Santa Clara), a polo shirt, and croc shoes. There were a few other people, men, women, boys, and girls, in the water wearing shorts and shirts. There was even one teenage girl wearing a long skirt with leggings. The highlight was the woman I talked into getting her clothes wet. She was wading in the shallow pool with her young son. She was standing in a water a little less than knee deep, I was down in the water. I told her "come on in, the water's fine". She said that it was tempting`. I said "fully clothed is the best way to swim". She got down in the water, soaking her tan shorts and green blouse. This trip to Great America was the first time I have ever swam with shoes on. Ok, crocs with no socks, but shoes nonetheless. When planning this trip, I was unsure what to do about my shoes. I wasn't sure they would be allowed in the water, and the idea of swimming with shoes on seemed strange even to a wetlooker like me (I bought the crocs mainly to wear on water rides at Magic Mountain, as spending all day in wet sneakers makes my feet shrivel up badly). I knew that I didn't want to rent one of the park's way overpriced lockers. I was planning on parking my shoes on one of the deck chairs and then having to keep an eye on them to make sure they weren't stolen or picked up as abandoned by a park employee. When I got there I saw a few other people swimming with crocs or flip flops on, so I decided what the hell, I've read about swimming with shoes on on this board for years, it's time to try it! It wasn't bad at all, and I didn't have to waste mental energy on constantly pooling toward a deck chair to see if my shoes were still there. That night after the park closed I went directly to the hotel's hot tub (the Hyatt Regency, across the street from the park) and got in wearing the same shorts, polo shirt, and croc shoes. There were a few other men and a few women in the hot tub, none of them fully clothed. One of the guys said to his friend "that guy's coming in in his clothes". I don't remember what I said, it wasn't much, and the conversation turned to arcade games (I was in town for the California Extreme classic arcade games show) and the internet. He even gave me a beer. Twice this year I have swam in the pool of a mobile home park where a friend of my mother lives. Shorts and a polo shirt, no shoes. I have swam fully clothed in several hotel pools and hot tubs over the years. In 1997 I did it at Whiskey Pete's Hotel and Casino on the California/Nevada state line and walked soaking wet through the casino to get back to my room. Back in the 1980's and early 1990s I went to the unfortunately now long defunct waterslides in Bakersfield fully clothed, and even once went shopping in the Walmart next door in wet clothes. So yeah, I do go swimming in clothes!

All right, I have to know how many people actually do this? I am a regular happily married guy with kids and a good job. I travel for businesss every two months or so. When away, I will usually go to the motel pool later at night with jeans and a t-shirt on for a swim. I always wait until there is nobody around, but I have done this so many times that it doesn't phase me if somebody shows up an " busts" me. I just get out and leave. My wife knows about my fetish and although we shower fully clothed together, she is very uncomfortable in swimming clothed in public. She seemed a little weirded out when she found out that I do this alone at motel pools. but after we talked about it, she said that as long as I wasn't doing it with another woman, she was ok with it. Does anyone else have similar experiences?
