Well that depends on where they are modelling. If we are shooting outside in a lake or under a waterfall where the water quality is in doubt then I advise them to keep their hair and face out of the water.

From a personal view I do direct the models to keep their face and hair dry even in indoor shoots as this keeps their makeup intact:

However, I'm about to publish some images on here feauturing some shower shots where the models do get their hair wet.
