The episode that comes to mind was called "The Joy Riders" which was the season 2 final episode. It was a sweet 16 party that a father was giving his daughter (played by a then 16 year old Heather Menzies-Urich!) She had been thrown into a swimming pool by party crashers prior to the officers arriving on the scene and showed up next to her father, in her blue dress, still wet. When Friday goes into the other room to look around, the camera angle changes and shows the whole dress. BTW I could of done without how the episode eventually turned out. The father revealed that his over/under shotgun had been stolen by the teen-age party crashers and it was found to have been used in a murder. |

By MK - wamtec@comcast.net Mon 23/04/12 16:50:47 GMT BTW.....there is a similar kind of scene to that Adam-12 scene in the Dragnet tv series too.....where the cops show up at a party where some hippies are partying and they are in the midst of a water fight and one of the girls emerges from a room wearing a soaking wet dress and is then questiioned by the cops. I saw this episode a few years ago but did not have my DVR turned on at the time....so I have been trying to catch it again in re-runs....but with over 700 episodes in that series it is hard to track down what season it was. I know it was from the color episodes and the era was the late 60's hippy era.....so it is probably among the 90 episodes that aired between 1967 and 1970.....do you know what season and episode number that Dragnet wetlook scene happened....
FYI, both Adam-12 and Dragnet are airing daily now (back to back in a 4 episode 2hr block) from 5pm to 7pm every day on the Antenna retro TV channel in most areas in the USA....so I will set my DVR to record both shows again, cos I am still missing that Dragnet scene from my collection.

By jhorams - jhorams@yahoo.com Mon 23/04/12 02:59:21 GMT Yes, Luana Anders was in that episode. However, she was the one whose convertible was stolen (it had a boa constrictor in the trunk). She was not one of the two women in that fight. I have seasons 1-6 on DVD as well as all four seasons of Dragnet '67. She shows up in several episodes of both shows. Tragically, she died young at 58 from breast cancer. |

By MK - wamtec@comcast.net Sun 22/04/12 17:48:53 GMT Yeah....nice....one of the girls in that water hose fight scene is Luana Anders.....famous for her wetlook lingerie scene in the 1963 cult horror film "Dementia 13".
FYI I recently found a similar scene on the old UK tv comedy series "The Two Ronnies" where they do a parody of the "It's a Knockout" gameshow, and 2 girls in minidresses hose each other down in a Season 5 show, and in a Season 12 episode you have a scene where 4 girls wearing sexy police uniforms and high boots get hosed down by Ronnie Barker....those are worth watching too.

By wetgalfan - wetgalfan@yahoo.com Sun 22/04/12 16:46:18 GMT I found a decent scene on an old Season 1 episode of Adam-12. If you have access to a Season 1 box set, it's on Disk 1, Episode 11. Reed and Malloy respond to a neighbor dispute. When they get there, they find two men and one woman, all soaked. The woman is wearing a late '60's mini-skirt and long-sleeve pull over and unlike how a lot of shows did it by misting actors down, she is visibly drenched. Her husband is trying to wrestle her into the house. The wifes went berserk and started housing each other down over the fence during a dispute over one of the house's automatic sprinklers getting the other's laundry wet. Later we see both women in the back yards at it again with the hoses. |
