Regarding Scooby Doo.....the episode that always got me was the 1976 episode "The Creepy Heap from the Deep" where the girls just don some scuba masks and swim fully clothed and then they are soaked inside a sub.....I just like the oblivious way they did this scene....

Skip to the 11 minute mark until 14 mins....

Sadly the 2 live actiion theatrical movies and the 2 recent tv movies never did anything close to as good as this....for starters, they cast the live action movies with totally inappropirate actresses for the female roles.....i.e. the Daphne character was always cute and curvy.....she was not an anorexic waif....so why did they cast Sarah Michele Gellar. The Daphne character, was, for me, a cartoon version of the actress Deanna Lund.....who played the cute and sexy character "Valerie" in Irwin Allen's Land of the Giants tv series.....she was a major turn on, cos the great thing about her character were her sexy outfits and every season they would change the colors of her opaque pantyhose and skirts.  I am pretty sure that the Daphne in Scooby Doo was based on Deanna Lund.

Yeah...I had a commodore 64 in the 1980's...and also a Radio Shack TRS80 terminal....jokingly called the "trash 80".

One last comment....when you say "My favorite was Scooby Doo, where they end up in the water fully clothed in about 1 out of every 3 episodes".......ummm....I don't think so, cos the fully clothed wet scenes on the Scooby Doo were relatively rare and certainlty not in every 3 episodes. The cartoon series that had a lot more wetlook scenes that Scooby Doo was the series "Josie and the Pussycats" cos the protaganist in that series was always getting pushed into a fountain or pool or getting water dumped on her.

I love nostalgia for the past!  When I was a kid back in the 1970s I watched lots of Hanna-Barbera cartoons.  My favorite was Scooby Doo, where they end up in the water fully clothed in about 1 out of every 3 episodes (one of the writers has got to be one of us).  I was also intrigued by the Soupy Sales Show (more WAM than wetlook).  These shows set the stage for my lifelong wetlook/WAM interest.  I often played in the sprinkler and water hose fully clothed (usually shorts, but that counts in my book).  In 1980 Magic Mountain opened the supersoaker ride Roaring Rapids.  In 1982 You Can't Do That On Television came on the air.  I was already a wammer for life.  In 1989 Magic Mountain opened Tidal Wave, which has the observation bridge which the water crashes over.  In 2000 I finally thought to type "wet clothes" into a search engine and found the original version of this forum on Bravenet.  You may remember that until 2004 I used the screen name "Whammy".  What an adventure it has all been.

OT I first started direct dial BBSs in 1988 using a Commodore 64 and a 1200 baud modem.  I was cosysop (assistant webmaster) of a local board called Brigade H.Q. [Rod, are you reading this?  Did you ever use any of the Bakersfield BBSs?].  I did post about my love for wetlook on the BBSs.  The last Sunday of every month local BBS users had a meeting at a Pizza Hut.  It was called "faces behind the CRT".  BBSs were necesarily a local phenomenon because only a rich person could afford to call out of town boards at the long distance rates of the day.  That brings up another thing.  I never dreamed we would see the day when nearly all cell phone plans would treat calls anywhere within the U.S. as a local call.  Now I can call my friend in Las Vegas and talk for half an hour and not give the cost a second thought since there is no cost.  When I first got my cell phone last year (yes, I held out that long) I even called dial a story at the Honolulu Hawaii public library just for the strange experience of calling Hawaii and there being no toll charges.  40, 30, 20 years ago I wouldn't have imagined HDTV.  It is all made possible because digital communications are soooo much more bandwidth efficient than analog.  Technological progress constantly amazes me.

Wow... 20 years for you, almost as long for me.

Up until about 1994 or 1995, like so many others, I thought I was the only one to enjoy wetlook on an erotic level. Then, I got onto the internet and started browsing through newsgroups, and found alt.sex.fetish.wet-and-messy (or something like that). I initially had no idea what that was about, but intrigued, and practically fell off my chair when I read the some postings there, including a FAQ written by non other than Rob Blaine and realized (1) he described my particular kink, and (2) other people were into it too. Not long after, I followed the link to his messyfun site, and not long after, I started seeing other wet and messy sites pop up all over.

In 1998, I realized I had the means, and decided to open a website of my own... more of a tribute site - non-commercial - "The Joys of Wet Clothing". More recently, I went on to create another site which is a database of wet and messy scenes in mainstream media which keeps on growing to this day. Although I haven't updated JOWC in ages, it's still up after 14 years.

Yes MK, times sure have changed. There was a time when we had no way to find others who share our niche interest - no internet or personal computers. Those who wanted to produce such material had to use film (still or movie). Now we have social media on smart phones which have built-in hi-def movie cameras.

Maybe some day, we will have total immersive virtual experiences - something like the holodeck depicted on Star Trek. Who knows...

In the meantime, I'm happy to enjoy the material being produced today, if a bit disappointed by current fashion, just as you are, MK. Nothing like watching an HD wetlook video on a big screen TV, but nothing quite like the women's fashions of the 70s and 80s as wetlook wear.

Cheers for 20 years of WAMTEC Drink Me

Well.....20 years have gone by real fast, cos next month marks the 20th anniversary when Wamtec video productions started. These days the youngsters take things like facebook and youtube and online media for granted, and few people remember that back in 1992 we did not even have web browsers and a way to surf the internet that Al Gore had invented for us to get our jollies.

Back when we firsted went online in 1992, without web browsers and forums around the wetlook fans all lived in isolation on bulletin board systems.... with the number one question wetlook fans had in those days.....i.e. Am I the only person in the entire world who feels this way about wetlook......Am I a freak of nature. Thankfully that question was answered a few years later....i.e. you are not alone....and there are other people who share those interests. From 1992 until mid 1995 my online friends (my first 300 wetlook contacts) all came from Compuserve, Prodigy and Delphi boards, and from the Usenet Newsgroup systems. Then in 1995 we were able to browse trhe internet more fully via the first browsers (Netscape) that you did not need to be a rocket scientist to understand how to use. This led to the opening of the very first wet & messy website verify.php?redirect=/index.php / www.messyfun.com in August of 1995, and the first Wamtec website opened one month later in September 1995. The owner of Messyfun passed away in November 2000, and the Wamtec site is currently the longest running wam site on the internet.

It is amazing to see how things have changed in 20 years.....i.e. who could have imagined in 1992 that one day you would be shooting videos with pocket sized cameras and cellphones, and that you could download entire movies in less than 3 minutes.....i.e. in less time that it takes you to run to your corner video store to pick up a rental video as we used to do in the 1980's. If I go back 30 years and 40 years ......30 years ago I was newly married and the only person who knew about my wetlook hobbies was my wife, who was my model for all my early 80's video shoots. 40 years ago in 1972....I was a teenager who could never find enough wetlook to satisfy my hunger for it, and so I used to spend WAY too much time browsing books and magazines at the public library or various adult bookstores in Soho, London....and spending too much time wandering the beaches in the UK with my poloroid camera and hanging out all day at the fountains in Trafalgar Square in London......talk about a mis-spent youth.

So.....where will we be in another 10 years.....who knows. Perhaps we will one day be able to have holographic wetlook games where you can actually project wetlook girls right into your home. For me, the 2 inventions I most want to have....have still not been invented yet...i.e.

1) I want a time machine like Dr Who has....so I can go back in time to see wetlook eras in the past....cos I prefer the fashions from the 1800's to the 1970's.......and do do not really care much for the fashion trends in the last 20 years....and

2) I want to have a DVR that can record my dreams......cos I dream up amazing wetlook adventures that are WAY  better than any video I have ever seen or made.....so if I could just download my dreams.....that would be awesome.

Anyway....to celebrate our 20th anniversary year, we are giving away extra Free DVDs with all DVD orders this year.....so whenever you are ordering a dvd just email me and say "I want my free DVDs" and you can double your order and choose additional dvds that you want added to your orders.
