Huhh....what drowning scenes....none of those were drowning scenes....they were all "rescue scenes"...nobody drowned at all.

I agree with AnthonyX.....the context matters...and dramatic scenes like this can be done in a threatrical way without being morbid or distasteful.....and with the right context....they can be done very well. For example....the Eva Green scene in Casino Royale....which is much more of a drowning scene than these tubes...cos she does not get saved....but the scene is a great one and totally within the right context of a James Bond film. Same thing with the many scenes you can find on BAYWATCH....i.e. not morbid....just light entertainment that is well done and within context.

They're all dramatized drownings, not real. The second scene is obviously a take where the purported victim is obviously only doing breathholding in simulation of drowning. The other scenes all end with safe rescue of the "victim". I'd rather see scenes where a girl is having fun (the way the "Harper's Island" scene begins), but don't really have a problem with such "happy ending" scenes.
