I agree with you....I wish they had made more of that scene than they actually showed us, cos it is a tantalizing scene that does not fullfill our expectations. But at least you see Lynda getting her pantyhose wet up to her knees and Debra Winger is also in pantyhose and gets wet up to her waist, and there are also other girls in that scene wearing chiffon dresses, leotards and pantyhose in the lagoon too....so I still like that scene....and I wish there were some behind the scenes outtakes on the DVD release, and I ordered the full DVD boxes set of all episodes, and there are some other tantalizing scenes like that in other episodes too......i.e.
1) one episode wear WW runs into the surf in her costume, boots and pantyhose....sadly...no close ups. 2) one episode where Lynda is in a steam bath wearing a bathing suit...with her pantyhose on...and she is wet and sweaty in the steam bath in that scene 3) another scene where she is in a bathing suit with pantyhose on, sunbathing by a swimming pool, and then she dives in the pool. 4) in the pilot episode Lynda and other girls in toga dresses with pantyhose....running along the beach and in the water, to rescue the pilot
A lot of "almost" scenes....but nothing that ever hit a home run.
What was recently disappointing was the new 2011 Wonder Woman tv series, where they shot the pilot tv movie back in February, but the series never even made it to air. The pilot for the series was made, but was considered to be so bad (i.e. excessively violent and meanspirited) that the NBC execs decided to axe it and they never ever aired it. This pilot film was leaked on the internet forums a few months ago and is widely available to download on tv forums, and I checked that out, and the girl and costume she wears looked good (she wears a leggings style WW costume for the first half of the film, and then an ultra sexy hot pants and boots style outfit in the latter part of film)....so the costume looked good and if they had picked up the series and shot other episodes it could have been promising....but they ruined it with music video style editing.....and that is why the latest Charlies Angels series just got cancelled too....i.e. these idiots can't remain faithful to the original series....they have to modernize it and make it look like a music video or computer game....so it sucks.
But you are right.....they never give us Wonder Woman scenes that fulfill what I like to see......so that is why I resorted to shooting my own Wonder Woman scenes myself...

If it contains wet scenes in it with Debra Winger as Druscilla, then it's only a little more worth it. You see her emerged partially in the water, but no emergence...no sign of seeing droplets coming off her sexy legs or outfit. Such wasted wetlook opportunity. |

Some good selections there. Too bad the Wonder Woman scene is worthless. Lynda only goes out up to her boots, and that's it! She has the perfect bathing suit, and she only goes out up to her boots. I hated it in later seasons when she'd take a dip and switch into that ridiculous, all-concealing bathing suit! Such a waste of sexy wetlook material! |
