I live in southern part of Germany, near Czech Republic, far away from big cities. And I have noticed the last ten years, that the girls wear less clothes every year. In earlier years I could see them wear t-shirts, leggings, dresses etc.

This year I went as often swimming as never before in my live. Last year I saw only one single girl wearing an open white blouse over her swimsuit. And this year I saw nothing yet. Nothing, nichts, rien, niente, nada... I visited public pools, the river or some lakes near and far away where I live.

Twenty years ago there was a similar heatwave over Germany. In that year, 1983, I saw the first time in my live wet girls. And the number of them grew every year.

Now, twenty years later, swimming clothed seems to be dead.

Maybe it's a kind of fashion which must be revived. Back to the eighties!

You hear all the news abou the heatwave in Europe.

Here in Western Canada, we have had about the same temperatures ( 80+ degrees for weeks)

Here- no wetlook . It can be close to 40c and girls would rather risk heat exhaustion than to go cool off with regular clothes! The same old same old BS " oh i didn't bring my bathing suit " bla bla bla bla bla... Absolutely pathetic i might add!

People here need to be more open minded. Makes me want to hop on a plane to London ASAP! Wetlook in Europe is so abundant.

Why do you think there is such a contrast between good' ol Europe and us uptight people here?
