By MK - wamtec@comcast.net Tue 11/01/11 14:28:44 GMT Usually, that means you are using that crappy media player called Windows Media Player....that does not come pre-loaded with all the codecs (video file formats) in their player.....i.e. it can't play Divx or Quickjtime Mov files or Flash video formats (videos downloaded off Youtube) unless you install an additional codecs pack.
Using Windows Media Player to view videos is a bit lit trying to enter the Indianapolis 500....using a bicycle.
Don't use Windows Media Player (we do not recommend it for any of our downloads)...and use a full featured media player that comes with all the codecs pre--installed....such as VLC Player or Gom Player. Personally, I use the GOM player for all my media playing needs....the free download is here...
Normally if you get sound and no video....thats a sign you are trying to play a Divx or Xvid file using Windows Media Player.
Try GomPlayer and I bet that will cure the problem
