I wish I could get the new Verizon FIOS fiber optic internet in my area, cos I am stuck with Comcast for now that only offers download speeds of 12mbps and upload speeds of a mere 2mbps,  and I can't get the new AT&T-uverse system in my area that offers 20megabit download speeds and 5mbps for uploading speed. Comcast have promised to go to speeds of "50 down and 10 up" by the end of this year, but they are still way behind the curve, cos Verizon FIOS service have just annoiunced they will be offering a 150 megabit download service with 50mbps upload speeds this year (and that is faster than a T3 line used by commercial companies)...but right now they are only installing Verizon FIOS lines in Western Florida/Tampa area, and not in South Florida where I live yet......but within the next 2 years we should all have 100 megabit internet services and then it becomes a lot easier to upload many gigs of media per day etc.
