Site defacement contest - OT, but may be important

On July 4, there is an announced 6-hour contest to see how many sites can be hacked and defaced during this period.

All Webmasters may want to check their sites frequently during this period (hopefully all pages are saved on local hard drives, ready to FTP back up just in case!). I don't know what the actual times are.

Check out pcmag.com, zdnet.com, or almost any security related site for details. They are not sponsering this, only reporting it from reports given to them.

Hopefully this will be a non-event, but heads-up any way, just in case.
