I do not think "vintage clothing" is particularly unique nor is it inaccessible. Women still wear skirts and blouses. Women still wear casual clothing. They are not significantly different from the outfits in the vintage shots I have posted as an example. But photography of women getting wet while wading, wearing summer dresses could be just as satisfactory. I happen to like shots of wading in dresses, skirts held up to "try" to keep dry. At some point, an unanticipated wave, or a deeper hole intervenes and them we have the waist-deep wading shots which were populat then. Just a little imagination is all that is required.

In short, it is the theme and not the outfits that is dominant, as I see it.

I guess I still have the imagination, but not the wherewithal.

To EdR and all other producers,

I absolutely love vintage wetlook and have been on Wetfan's old sites numerous times. If possible, I think the producers should try to explore the vintage aspect of wetlook. In other words, it would be great if you could find dresses in the style of the 1930s or 1940s and produce pics or videos of them. EdR, your photography is amazing and I think you could do a lot of great stuff with some vintage-looking outfits. I realize this may be very difficult to do -- it's probably hard and quite expensive to find outfits in those styles -- but I think it would be a big hit in the community. I know that I for one would jump at the chance to purchase videos or picture sets of women dressed in vintage outfits -- especially from the 1930s or 1940s. Just my thoughts!

I have always been inspired by "Vintage" wetlook. IMO women of the era dressed more feminine. It has been my desire to pay homage to those bygone days, perhaps someday I will.

As for being mobility impaired, I hope the best for you, if there was a way to work with it, would there be a way to over come it and return to photography?

Can't anyone take a picture like this one any more? I could. I did. But I am now mobility-impaired, so I depend on others! But there do not seem to be such people out there!
