Due to difficulty using the previous models (all too busy), I called a local chain school/agency. I told them of the project and they sent Kim & Michelle. They were ok (a little weak underwater), but were very comfortable & signed release forms. I signed the agency vouchers (which they would bill me later).

Next, they sent 2 other models (good underwater). One model had checked my website and was uneasy with the word “sensuous” and she brought that up to the agency. After the shoot she took my release forms and said the agency wanted to look over them. The agency got back to me and asked, “Who is buying the tapes?” (duh – anyone who wants them?) The agency said that is unacceptable – they wouldn’t want anyone to get “excited” over their models. They never billed me or sent a contract for me to sign. They wanted to undo the whole thing so I pulled the Kim & Michelle clips.

I'm curious... there were issues with internet distribution vs tape? The modelling agency maintains rights to control the way in which the stock you've shot (stills or video) is ultimately packaged/used/distributed? Is that sort of thing typical?

I would have thought that modelling fees are paid in exchange for full and unconditional rights to use the images in any way the producer wishes.

The pay clips are the exact DV files used to make the video3 tapes, only incoded into Divx format. most clips are 2.5 to 3.5 min. (I'll post the time next).

I'm starting with vid3 first because the files are still on the hard drive (18gigs). I'll have to remake the first 2 vids as well as the fourth (still need more shoots - lost the last two due to model agency changing their minds)
