Hi Anthony !
Congratulations! You have reached the point. I hope, Waterspaniel will not be angry with me. It was just a Joke. My accomplice was `Bablefish´
Here are the real Lyrics:
Friedrich Sigismund, 1788-1857 (The happy Wanderer)
Mein Vater war ein Wandersmann, Und mir steckt's auch im Blut; Drum wandr' ich flott, so lang ich kann, Und schwenke meinen Hut.
Refrain 1: Faleri, falera, faleri, Falera ha ha ha ha ha ha Faleri, falera, Und schwenke meinen Hut.
Refrain 2&3: |: Hei-di, hei-da, hei-di, hei-da! Und schwenke meinen Hut. :|
Das Wandern schaffet frische Lust, Erhält das Herz gesund; Frei atmet draußen meine Brust, Froh singet stets mein Mund: Refrain:
Warum singt Dir das Vögelein So freudevoll sein Lied? Weil's nimmer hockt, landaus, landein Durch and're Fluren zieht. Refrain:
Refrain:
If you do that 6 times with german, french and english (with bablefish) you will get the Mix above. The real reason I did this to you all, was a Muppetshow I have downloaded yesterday. It is from more than 10 Years ago (Gueststar John Denver) I`ve found that this Clip I`ve cut out from it, is so funny, that I have set it into the Net for a short time.
<a href="http://www.wetlou.de/Muppetshow - how_Americans_see _us Germans_valdereeeeee_valderaaaaaa.avi">click here</a> To play that AVI you have to run it in DIVX-Mode.
A good laugher wishes Lou |

By AnthonyX - anthonyx@jowc.net Sat 28/06/03 10:48:51 GMT I recall learning a song when I was a child which included "Valderi, Valdera..." in the lyrics. It was stated to be a german folk song (translated to english) and the english title was "The Wanderer" or "The Happy Wanderer". It was so long ago that I can't recall the lyrics anymore (beyond the repetetive "Valderi, Valdera..."), but it made a whole lot more sense than what you've posted. Looks almost like these lyrics have had a number of passes through an automated language translator, going back and forth between english french and german. Seems about the only thing left intact is the "Valderi, Valdera" bits.
Try doing a lyric search using the title(s) I mentioned above. |
