If you're running Vista or Windows 7, use the 'snipping tool' (which is part of Vista and W7).

On XP I'd make a screenshot and then crop in a photo editing software.

Paintshop Pro can do snapshots of any part of the screen. I presume, that other ediing programms can do also.

If you google for snapshot and screen, you'll find also software that can do the job and much more information...

I know this issue has been addressed before about spaceball.gif files on Flickr. It seems that all the suggestions mentioned on this forum no longer do the job, i.e., Flickr has caught onto these tricks. Any new solutions to eliminating those spaceballs? Some of these wetlook pictures are too good to pass up!
