using a camera is in fact extreme!

THIS is hard core:

tape a thin (see-thru) sheet of paper in front of the screen, take a pencil and trace the picture!

I know it the extreme, but with a digital camera, take a picture of your computer screen, upload the image on your computer and save! I've done this and it works! Sounds silly, but it saves my sanity from figuring out spaceball.

I know this issue has been addressed before about spaceball.gif files on Flickr. It seems that all the suggestions mentioned on this forum no longer do the job, i.e., Flickr has caught onto these tricks. Any new solutions to eliminating those spaceballs? Some of these wetlook pictures are too good to pass up!
