I was looking at camcorders in the local electronics store recently and was amazed at how very few of the new ones have viewfinders. I guess they expect you to take video using the flip-out screen, which makes taking video much more cumbersome (for me, anyway), plus there's the issue of privacy for candid videotapers (an exposed screen makes it easier for somebody to know whom you are recording, leading to an increased possibility of problems at a public beach/pool if you're recording someone's wife or something.) I would also imagine that if somebody is recording something that happens spur-of-the-moment with one of these things, they will be less likely to pull out the view screen, resulting in shaky/crappy recordings. I suppose removing viewfinders is a cost-saving measure (plus it helps them make those really tiny camcorders) but it's a lousy thing to sacrifice if you ask me. |

By Benny - Tue 09/03/10 17:45:17 GMT Can't anyone tell these people on Youtube how to hold an F--king camera properly? You will get an awful headache trying to look at the girls in the pool when the camera is violently swishing all over the place..... Am I the only person who noticed this?
Very frustrating!!!!!!
