I remember when I was in the UK in 1976, and Aaron Spelling was promoting a new show he was currently shooting, called "Charlies Angels", and there was a 2 page interview interview published in the TV Times (UK's tv guide) and in the interview he made repeated comments about how he loved to see girls in wet clothes and promised to take full advantage of that in his new series......so my jaw dropped to the floor and I eagerly awaited this new series when it debuted in 1976.....cos I was familiar with the "original" Charlies Angels concept that was created in Japan in 1969.....cos the original Japanese version was called "Playgirls" and was about 6 miniskirted detectives, and that had over 250 episodes from 1969 to 1973, and then they had a sequel series called "Playgirls Q" which had another 90 episodes in 1974 and 1975....and I had seen many of those shows....and the original Japanese series was a "wetlook bonanza" cos at least 1-2 of the 6 girls on the show were in wetlook scenes all the time. So....when I heard that Aaron Spelling was going to make his amercian version called Charlies Angels, I thought he would have made it as sexy as the Japanese version was (i.e. boots and short skirts and catfight action in every show)...so when Charlies Angels debuted.....I had a VCR in those days and taped every darn episode.....and the series turned out to be a big disappointment, cos 120 episodes later, there was never any AAA rated wetlook scenes, and only a handful of episodes had wetlook scenes, and those were all fleeting and minor in nature....so Charlies Angels never lived up to all the hype that preceded it.....cos Aaron Spelling had said he was a fan of girls in wet clothing....but he never deployed that very much in his series.....but getting back to Heather Locklear....at least Aaron had a connection to Heather's famous wet jeans posing scene on Dynasty...cos that was one of his shows too....and Aaron did make up for his lacklustre Charlies Angels series by giving us lots of nice wet and messy scenes with Joan and Linda on Dynasty.
