The BBC TV series on the Pre-Raphaelites did a great dramatisation of illais's infamous near killing of the model posing for his Ophelia drowning painting - the model almost died of hypothermia during the work, which involved her lying in a bath of water for hours on end - nicely recaptured for this somewhat fictionalized drama but very well done - shown tonight
