Success in business is about figuring out what your customer wants and giving it to them. Once you make them happy, you give them a little bit more. You are complaining about the very thing that is your best chance at success, customer input. Here is what I suspect: You made some content. It wasn't very good and you didn't get the praise you're looking for. That's no surprise, if it was easy everybody would do it. But you missed the next step, which is to ask yourself, 'how can I do better?', which is what your customers are trying to tell you. You practice with a camera. You get better at lighting. You make sure your models are having fun. The operative word is practice. The more you practice the better you get assuming you have any talent at all. And why, exactly, should your customers be grateful to you? For the privilege of sending you money? For the free samples, whose purpose is to get people to your site to send you money? Look at any successful business here, say Leon and company. Stellar photography. Hot as HELL models who look like they are having a ball. What puts it over the top? Lisa's goofy grin like she just got caught with her hand in the cookie jar, running the party. You WANT to deal with these people, they are we and we are they. Do you think you would hear them complaining if somebody said 'hey, love your stuff, but could you splash a model with a jaguar xj12 and a great big puddle on a dirt road (pink socks please)? You can look at it two ways: 1. Jeez these people are never satisfied (your way, the no new customer way) and 2. Hey doesn't my buddy have a jag? I bet we could get them to drive it thru a puddle. Make the vid and make sure the person knows about it. Have a customer who remembers you forever. Repeat until everybody loves you and wants to send you money. One final thing: If you really feel this way about us, quit. Really. Running a business is not for everybody.

My other suspicion is you might just be trolling. If so, you suck.

I'd just like to say that the vast majority of people who post on these boards are some of the most ungrateful I've ever known. I do produce (I'm not telling you who I am), however, even for free sets and photos, the most I ever get is a complaint that something is not exactly to their liking, or a request - or, quite simply, nothing.

It's not just me. When I read down the forums at other posts, there are some fantastic pictures posted here for free as samples or even as free pictures, but most only get one or two comments, even though there must be thousands of views.

Most of you are a bunch of shameless freeloaders. It doesn't take 10 seconds to show your appreciation to a producer and I'm sure most producers will be grateful of any appreciation or suggestions shown for their contributions.

Is it just me who feels this way?
