I doubt that DVD will go away entirely. From the producer's perspective, downloadable clips may be easier to prepare and distribute than DVDs, but there is the whole issue of protection. It's far too easy for clips to be redistributed. The apparent solution to that problem is DRM, but DRM creates issues even for legitimate consumers. For example: Wetlook Unlimited started offering DRM-protected downloadable clips, with a 3-day "rental". The problem for the consumer is that he has shut down his business. Anyone who bought on DVD can continue to enjoy the scenes indefinitely, but the DRM-expired clips are now just fodder for the recycle bin. For as long as consumers want to be able to enjoy their purchases indefinitely, and the producers want to create at least some minimal barrier against unauthorized duplication, physical media such as DVD won't go away. Also... good quality clips are very large. Not everyone has a fast enough network connection to download them in a reasonable amount of time. That will likely result in a continued demand for physical media. I think that even as high-speed internet becomes faster and more pervasive, video standards will probably also evolve; there will probably always be a significant segment of the market who will want the high quality material but not be able to afford (or not be in the service area of) high-speed internet.

I should point out that video is going hi-def, which makes DVD an outdated standard. As far as recorded media is concerned, blu-ray will eventually replace DVD, but it may take a while before it happens completely - just look at VHS. It's now a long out-of-date format, but has yet to disappear completely.

Wamtec continues to produce new DVDs but the industry trend seems to be headed to online-only for new material. It feels like it's been a few years since Minx last offered a new DVD (M18) and many months or longer since Leonmoomin, MostWam and Wetlook Romania have put out new ones.  Newer sites like WetlookPro and Heels'n Legs have never offered DVDs (to my knowledge).
