I'd love to see a woman go into the water in that. Notice however that it also has a tankini top and bikini bottoms in the same pattern. Land's End has an extensive line of halter and tankini top and swim skirt bottoms that would easily double as everyday wear. One of the ladies in our subdivision had a set and wore it nearly everyday to the pool last summer. I used to sit there and imagine it was a real dress. |
In reply to Message (39573) A dress for the pool
By A Nonny Mouse - Wed 01/04/09 18:19:57 GMT Just found on a mail-order clothing website - a dress whose description says it "doesn’t mind getting thrown into the pool fully clothed". If the folks at Athleta designed it that way on purpose (and it sounds like they did), then I'd love to get invited to their company party.
Be sure to click on "Zoom Image - More Views" to see a real person wearing it.
Now the philosophical question is: If the manufacturer says it's OK for a woman to swim in it, is it still wetlook if she does? Personally, I wouldn't want to make any hasty judgements without seeing ample photographic evidence first. :-)
