Corsair, while Bernd and Christel have done some wetlook, I don't know if I'd call it "a lot". I suppose you could say a lot for a site that's about boots. Most of their wetlook consisted of Christel wading in her boots--which I always loved to see. They did do two fantastic full wetlook sets years ago: "Wet in the Night"--Christel wearing a black raincoat, heavy rubber industrial gauntlets, blue leggings and brown leather mid-knee boots. First, she soaked the boots in a pond, then went inside and soaked the whole outfit in the shower. Blew me away to see her getting completely wet. Then there was my favorite, "Am Brunnen"--Christel in a white blouse, gray crop pants and black patent leather knee boots. She slowly wet the boots in a fountain, then climbed in and got wetter and wetter, emerging soaked from head to toe. By her expressions, she clearly loved the experiences. There were a couple of others, but not as good as those. I remember the team-up with Pippa, and don't forget Christel's team-up with Linda Wan of the original Wet Boots site (I miss that one)--both of them wearing dresses and boots in Linda's pool. Unfortunately, Christel hasn't gotten wet in years now, instead just occasionally wading in streams in boring rubber boots. I wish she'd get back into it. |

By Corsair - Thu 19/02/09 02:22:35 GMT Bernd and Krystal at bbcd.de have done a lot of good wetlook. Don't forget Pippa's Place, and Pippa did some joint venture work with Bernd and Krystal.
I would also nominate the guys who have spent hours roaming beaches and fountains collecting candid wetlook. |

By Ace - acepup44@gmail.com Wed 18/02/09 17:58:03 GMT Yeah I really like your scenes, that's definitely a good niche to fill. You're lucky, too; I did tons of wetlook shoots with girls back in high school, but college has really narrowed my options too. Still, hopefully once I get out of here and start to have the time I'll be able to try and make some new sets. Feel free to drop me an email if you want to see my old stuff, I feel like someone my age would definitely appreciate it.

Definitely - and my options are still limited at the moment. I think I'm starting to find a niche in writing wetlook stories though. |

By Ace - acepup44@gmail.com Wed 18/02/09 10:35:49 GMT My ballot would probably have MK and Wetfan at or near the top, but like Poliut I'm only 20 so a lot of the foundation of wetlook was laid down before my time. Still, at least in my eyes, MK and Wetfan are two of the godfathers of modern wetlook, and our community simply wouldn't be what it is today without their efforts. Producers like Leonmoomin, Erik Elsas, and EuroWAM TEAM have also given us mountains of great wetlook over the last decade or so, and they'd have a place on my list. I'd round mine out with a few honorable mentions: Anthony, since his Joys of Wet Clothing.net was the first wetlook site I ever saw, and of course Nigel for running this forum for so long and bringing so many of us together. I would also include two posthumous inductions: Kirsta Breunig and Steve Katz aka WetInRed. Just my two cents. If I've snubbed someone important, let me apologize in advance.
P.S. Poliut, would you agree that we have some big shoes to fill? |
In reply to Message (39092) Wetlook Icons
By Poliut - Wed 18/02/09 02:26:25 GMT Who would you consider to be an "icon" in the wetlook world? One of those people who made it what it is today -- think if there was a "Wetlook HOF" these would be some of the unanimous, first-ballot people to be enshrined there.
Now, I don't know what stage wetlook is in (ie. infancy, peak, about finished, etc.) - some of you old-timers here would have a better guess to that than I would - and as such it may be a little tougher (or easier) to identify such candidates.
Weird question (and probably a weird way of asking), but it could provide material for something useful.
