I was born in 1942 so grew up in the 50's and 60's. There wasn't a whole lot of public expression then. You didn't see a lot of explicit photography unless you got Playboy. And kids didn't walk in and buy Playboy then. If someone's old man didn't get it and a freind could lift an old copy, you didn't get to see a lot. But, you didn't need pictures to realize that it excited you. I remember a newspaper or magazine article with a few grainy photos that tried to explain wetlook. "Wetlook" didn't even have a name then. I carried that damn article around with me through wars and marriages for years. Finally lost it some place.
The term "wetlook" I believe came in the 70's with clothes like mini-skitrs that were either made of pvc or a satin material that clung and actually looked wet. It was a fashion fad. So, I was a closet wetlook lover until the advent of the Internet. Now, I'm in heaven "WHEN I CAN'T DO A HELL OF A LOT ABOUT IT". Story of my life. |
