You might want to suggest tubbin' in something other than the new boots - at least so she can enjoy them in a more conventional way for a little while first. Won't be much of a Christmas gift if they are trashed within a couple of days. Surely you can get her a cheaper non-Xmas-gift pair of boots just for dunking.

Hey guys! My girlfriend wants to get wet with me. I bought her some new leather boots for X-Mas. Now, if they are treated...can they get wet and survive? I spent alot of money on them and we don't want to ruin them just yet. Any input before X-Mas Eve would be nice as we are planning to go tubbin'!
