It is true that the perspective is totally different when you are merely a hobbyist and engaging in a non commercial venture just for fun...whereas when you have commercial intent (as many of us do) one has to make sure that the girls are fully compensated and treated with total disclosure...so our 2 worlds are totally different ones.

Actually...most of us started out by being in the the world of the amateur hobbyist..with no commercial intent too. None of us wetlook producers started out by saying..."I want to make a million bucks.....so lets go make some wetlook photos or videos". We all kinda get converted midstream...i.e. when you are spending less than 10 grand a year on something that is your passion...then it is a hobby that you do for purely non commercial motives. However, while most of us producers start out that way...we all tend to get a bit a carried away with our enthusiasm...and we spend more and more each year on our stuff. It is real easy to get caught up in this...cos you do a few shoots with some girls...and pretty soon you have them bringing all their girlfriends around and referring other girls to you...and pretty soon what was once a 10 grand a year weekend hobby...now starts to get to be a 20 to 50 grand a year "addiction"...

...and the reason for our switching to commercialism is real simple...none of the producers I know (including myself) were born with a silver spoon in their mouths and are independently wealthy and or have mega bucks 6 figure incomes in our day jobs. We are all working class joes like the rest of you....(in all my years I have never yet met a millionaire who was a wetlook fan and wanted to spend millions to support my projects...all my projects are done courtesy of Mastercard and Visa and with the faithful followers who support out videos).

The producers mainly turn to commercialism not as their primary or original motivation...but merely to support their "habit" and to recover some of their costs...which they always re-invest right back into our next project anyway...thats why folks like me still drive a 12 year old rusty minivan and wear a timex watch...cos we are not doing this so we can buy a new Lexus or Rolex...ha ha (who wants one anything..I would rather just have a new 3 chip pro-camcorder instead).

Good discussion though....nice to see we drew wetfan back into the discussion process to.

Overall, your points are valid to the "hobbyist"...but as me, Kevin and other producers know...we have to be very upfront with our girls...cos thats the only way to treat them when you are in a commercial enterprise...and it is really no big deal to almost all the girls we meet anyway...most of them say to me what one model said to me on our shoot last week...i.e. "this is so pleasant and easy going work...it sure makes a change from doing bondage and s&m stuff".

However, my case::

1. All my wetlook photos were taken for my own pleasure and satisfaction. I did not intend to sell or publish them. I certainly did not know who was “out there” or if there were any such. My discovery of the “community” was a development which took place within the past, what is it(?) five years. None of my pix have ever been sold, or published..at least as far as I know.

2. Since my discovery of, and participation in, this forum I have sent some photos to friends developed here. In most cases, as I am sure a few of you know, I have sent them because I felt the recipients would appreciate them, or could be used as "samples" for their own wetlook photography. These were sent with the requests that they not be posted to this or any sites. In short, I sent them because I believe the designated individuals would like them. I was correct.

3. But with the development of specific sites, at which I was a guest (Wet Casual and Total Wetlook),  I posted some personal wetlook pics. These were, (for lack of a better term) “innocent” wetlook photos which, I felt, would cause no embarrassment to the girls shown.   I have never taken, nor posted of course, photos which trended towards the raunchy. (I do not download them either.) Yes, in the case of Asian bargirls, I was able to make some fun, semi-strip shots, but these were in a public pool, well in the open. No models were even involved. You have seen them, your call.

4. Therefore, I assert that the guidelines I posted in 3775 are still appropriate for those who wish to take personal wetlook photos, for their own pleasure, and without consideration of publication or profit.

As I have stated before, I underwent some moderate costs in the pursuit of these interests. But I never made a brass cent or dinar of profit from them. And I welcome the opportunity to share them with those who maintain a similar interest.
