FYI....the good news is....these Red Bull events produce very nice wetlook scenes, as do all the "Dirndl" events held in Austria and Germany too.

The BAD news is....none of these Red Bull or Dirndl events can be seen (well) on tv clips, because none of the tv stations ever show the wetlook aspects of these events. All the tv cameramen show, are a quick succession of dunks....so all you see from photos or tv clips are people captured in mid-air or in the case of tv clips, as soon as they hit the water...it is "cut"....to the next person hitting the water. So...you never see any worthwhile wetlook shots on the internet....cos nobody actually films the girls IN the water and getting OUT of the water.

The ONLY way to see the wetlook at these events....is that one of us wetlook fans has to BE THERE....with their own camcorder....and to film all the bits that they never show on tv etc.

So....if you are relying on photojournalists or tv cameramen to show you wetlook pics from these events....forget it....you will never see them.

We need some wetlook fans who live in Austria (or in neighboring countries, where they can easily drive there in a day)....who will film these events and capture all the shots we will never see on tv etc.

If anybody from Austria or Germany wants to go to these events.....email me and I will sponsor your travel costs and buy you a new HDV camcorder too.

Red Bull Flugtag

I was just zapping around when got some Austrian TV: There I say an add for the "Red Bull Flugtag(=Red Bull flight day)". It's on the 21. Sept 2008, starting at 11AM. The event takes place in Vienna in the Brigittenauer Bucht on the Danube. In this event people show and test their self-made planes and flight machines. They are starting from a platform above the river Danube and because almost of all them look very funny, but don't fly they crash into the river(usully wearing clothes).

I habe gerade herumgezappt als ich zum österreichischen Fernsehn kam. Dort sah ich eine Werbung für den "Red Bull Flugtag". Er ist am 21. Sept. 2008, beginnend um 11h. Die Veranstalltung findet in Wien in der Brigittenauer Bucht an der Donau statt. Während dieser Veranstalltung zeigen und testen verschiedene Leute/Teams ihre selbst gemachten Flugmaschienen und Flugzeuge. Dabei starten sie von einer Plattform über der Donau und weil fast alle von diesen mehr lustig aussehen, aber eigentlich nicht fliegen können, landen sie damit meist unsanft in Fluss(normaler Weise mit Kleidung).
