FYI, it has nothing to do with the climate, or their love for wetlook....cos there is no such thing as Indian who likes wetlook.

To prove my point, 20% of the earth's population are Indians and Pakistanis, and they have the largest movie industry in the entire world, producing 5 times more movies every year than Hollywood does, and wetlook is present is almost every Indian film....i.e. it's an obligatory cliche to have at least one rain dance scene in most Indian films. But all of this has got nothing to do with wetlook or wetlook interests per se, cos if Indians are 20% of this planet, then at least 20% of wetlook forum members and wetlook producers customers would be Indians too. But ask any producer how many Indian customers do they have...and I am sure their answer will be the same as mine....i.e. in 18 years of making wetlook videos ...I have never yet seen even ONE customer from India who has show an interest in wetlook as we know it.

The reason for this is...wet scenes in Indian films are not shot for wetlook fans in India....cos there is no such thing and an Indian wetlook fan. Wetlook in indian films is a "substitute" and a "metaphor".....a sexual metaphor.....that was born...in order to circumvent the strict censorship laws that used to prevail in India. People forget.....until the 1990's....the movie censors in India would not even allow "a kiss" to be shown on camera...i.e. the couple always had to turn away and they only filmed the backs of their heads.

The irony is....it was THE CENSORS who actually created the wetlook culture in Indian cinema....cos they were not allowed to show direct sex scenes....so they created wetlook as a metaphor to portray sexual situations instead.

The same thing happened in the USA with the pantyhose fetish syndrome too.....i.e. pantyhose fetishism...was created by THE NETWORK CENSORS....i.e. they prohibited Catherine Bach from wearing her Daisy Dukes with bare legs....cos Catherine Bach wanted to have bare legs....but the censors said that was too revealing....so they insisted she wear pantyhose and cover up her bare legs....but the irony is....that created a whole new group of pantyhose fetish fans instead. Same thing with the THREES COMPANY tv series....i.e. the network censors would not allow the girls to be seen in skimpy nighties and bare legs...they insisted they cover up their legs....which is why they always wore pantyhose in bed....which is even more ridiculous....but that just made the pantyhose fans love the show even more.

The point of this dissertation is....we can thank the censors for creating new fetishes for us....cos when they try to ban one thing....all it does is create a new fetish in a different area....ha ha
