The reason a lot of stuff says "Dry Clean Only" is because lots of people still insist on washing anything that doesn't say that at 60 degrees C, and a lot of man-made fabrics will shrink at that temperature. But if you wash everything at 40 degrees instead, things don't usually shrink, and you save a load of money on the electricity bill too.
So generally, getting a "dry clean" item wet won't cause any problems (though what someone else said about ensuring the whole garment gets wet, not just part of it, makes sense too). |

By bbay - Fri 11/07/08 14:25:35 GMT Since many people helped with my shoes question, I hope to get some help here. What happens if you have clothes that are dry clean only and they get wet? I'm referring to suits and other things like that which say dry clean only. Any help is appreciated. |
