The code was locking up waiting to write to a log file. This is done after the post is added, and the same file was used for successful 'adds', and for blocked ones. Once too many adds/blocks were waiting for this file to become free, the ASP server was falling over ! I've now split the log files, so hopefully the legitimate post should go through ok ! (fingers crossed)

yes, unfortunately, I'm getting a huge number of hits to the add message

page. Most of these are from spammers who are blocked, but they keep hitting

it anyway, I guess they have some automated scripts, that just keep retrying

or something.

I don't use IE, but I don't see why there should be any difference ?

I am working on some solutions !

in the last few posts, I always received an errorcode, but the post was successfull.

e.g.
